How does STARQUINE work?STARQUINE is an easy to use and free service for thoroughbred buyers. It all begins with viewing the listings on STARQUINE. The listings are divided into weanlings and yearlings, horses of racing age, broodmares and stallion seasons and shares. Buyers may view all listings in each category from anywhere in STARQUINE by clicking on the desired category in the top row of buttons. Buyers can also search among the various horse types using price, pedigree, location and more as search criteria. These searches can be run from anywhere in the site by clicking on Search Listings in the second row of buttons. All search results are listed by category. |
Email AlertsOnce a search has been run it may be saved using our Email Alert system. From that point on all new listings entered into STARQUINE will be compared with the saved search criteria. Information regarding all horses matching saved searches are sent to the interested buyer in an Email Alert. This way buyers can be informed when the horse they are looking for is available in the marketplace, even if they have not recently run a search. |
STARQUINE is free to useThe service is completely free to buyers. Sellers pay a small fee to list their horse on STARQUINE, but there are no commissions and no fees to buyers, ever. Buyers do not have to register and may remain completely anonymous when using STARQUINE. Buyers may browse all listings, run searches, view related services, and get contact information on sellers without ever registering. Buyers who want to take advantage of the E-Mail Alert service will need to register so that we have an email address to send information regarding horses matching their saved searches. |
Purchasing a horse listed on STARQUINEOnce you have found a horse you are interested in simply click the Contact Seller button in the top right corner of the horse's detail page. That will provide you with all the information you need to contact the seller and begin your negotiations. STARQUINE is not involved in those discussions and does not get in the middle of any transactions. For any questions or comments contact our office. |
